PERSONAL INFORMATION

“Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth.” ~ Shirley Chisholm

In my young adult years, after becoming a Certified Legal Assistant and working in Clark County Superior Court; I had planned to go on to complete my education and attend law school.   However, with 3 children to support on my own; it was a rather daunting goal.  When, in 1975, real estate was suggested, I was intrigued by the challenge and the opportunity to learn.

Having been born in my Grandmother’s home on Kauffman Avenue, I remained in   Vancouver and lived in Clark County until I was 19 years old. Portland, Oregon was home for a few years with a subsequent move to Billings, Montana. It was in Billings that I became involved in the YMCA, took up swimming to advance to water ballet and I taught aerobic classes.  I returned to Vancouver in 1973 which is where I have remained other than 2 years on the Oregon Coast from 1995-1997.

Having time with 4 grandchildren, Guisti, Lauren, Steven and Matthew is one of my greatest joys.  Another priority is time with dear friends, gardening, hiking, my beach cottage, trash-to-treasure projects, antiques and travel.  My house mate is my Shetland Sheepdog, Trip, who thinks he is royalty. I have rescued and raised infant squirrels and wild rabbits. There is much to learn from nature.
